Developing 300 bilingual text books & workbooks
for a prominent University in China

From the start, this was a complex and a time consuming project. Developing English language books for the Chinese speaking students. Each book had to have the complete text translation in the Chinese language for ease of understanding for the students. The books were structured across all the education grades of schools. The subjects were ancient, medieval, renaissance and modern covering a wide range of subjects. From ancient mythological stories to Olympics and Rock Music.

We started by researching the market for the existing school textbooks for teaching English. A bright, colorful and a visual oriented approach was chosen. The students were being exposed to topics not seen in the Chinese environs. Maintaining the child’s interest was prime. A deliberate attempt was made to have an encyclopedic feel to the text books
